Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort

We stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort in January of 2009. We had a one bedroom unit and found it very comfortable and spacious with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The bed was a bit hard and the amenities were limited, in my opinion, but we throughly enjoyed our stay there. We stayed at the resort behind the FLBR, Coconut Bay and we had a two bedroom unit there. We found both resorts nice. The view at FLBR awesome, the pool and hot tub at CB, nicer.
However, we just bought a two bedroom lockout at FLBR so that might tell you which was the overall nicer, better value in my opinion and we are looking forward to our arrival on January 8th this year for a week.

Glad you enjoyed the resort.
The weather is beautiful right now and hopefully will be for your trip in January.

I agree FLBR offers much better value than Coconut Palms.
CP reminds me of a motel conversion.
It's nice but FLBR is much nicer.

We've also been both resorts, and would stay at either. We thought the FLBR unit was more modern, but liked the folks and the feeling of Coconut Bay better.
