A really nice resort with insulation needed.

    Please see the review here!

An addition to the internet issue; I always bring my laptop with a sprint aircard. Even getting signal with that is iffy. When I do get signal, it is weak, so connection is not fast. At least it allows me to sit in my unit and connect to the world.

I had a huge issue staying connected on my Verizon cell anywhere in the Dells. This was not an individual resort issue so I didn't raise it in the review. It must be right smack in the middle of towers or something...

I could have a 10 minute call with my son but the next call from the same chair would cut off every minute while my phone said it was changing areas.

I was not the only one to have this problem and it was not just at CMV.

Doesn't sound like a great place to work from. And a resort that charges for Wifi from anywhere but your unit has A LOT OF NERVE. I don't mind paying for it from my unit provided it works well.

After the other thread about adjoining walls, you may have been lucky to have only a snorer as a neighbor... Though I suppose the snorer went through the entire night....

people always want my cell phone number, and think it strange that I don't use it. I think Lawren, you can see why I use mine only sporadically and not from my home at christmas mountain, which is surrounded by very tall trees.
A tower is supposed to be built i think by cellular one inthe area within the next 6 months. It supposedly will improve reception for everyone.

Lawren, when i read your review it made me recall the time my brother in law stayed in the lock out. his neighbors were smoking pot and they got the full effect under the door.

So you need to bring earplugs, AND noseplugs (or not...)

Is smoking allowed in the units? I prefer the smell of pot to that of tobacco...

Smoking is not allowed inside in the UDI cottages; I assume it's the same for the rest of the resort.

                And no pets.

And definitely no pets that smoke.

We were there over Christmas. There is NO smoking in any of the units. I found the insulation problem to be true. We were in a one-bedroom townhouse which was small but nice. The guests came the day before we were to leave, so we were very lucky. Their children were up till after 2:00 in the morning screaming, crying, running up and down the stairs, etc. So apparently, it was thought that a nice jacuzzi bath would calm them down ~ 3:00 am. Anyway, we did exchange for another stay this year, but this time, we have a 2 bedroom cabin. The resort is great, the hills are pretty much for beginners, but Cascade Mountain is just about 15 minutes away if that. The prices are great, and we found the restaurants, when we did eat out, were wonderful - Delbar I think it was. We are looking forward to going again.

I'm absolutely amazed that we were able to hook up at all! Was an absolute pleasure and I'm so glad we were able to.

You guys need something/anything vis a vis cell help!

That might not have been so bad...

Actually there are a couple of signs requesting no smoking in the units. They do not say no smoking allowed. I do not smoke in my own home and do not smoke inside timeshares. The deck was just fine.

Yes I had mentioned to someone else that a stand alone cabin would be the only way to go here. Let's hear from you when you complete that exchange!

Lawren, you are correct. At check-in we were instructed that there was no smoking in the units, but said that smoking on the outside deck was allowed. They even provided ashtrays.
