Review: Mountainside Resort at Stowe

Just purchased here and came to check out the resort. We have never been to a timeshare before and this was a wonderful experience. We didn't stay in our actual unit because it was being renovated but were able to see the unit before leaving. The resort is up on a mountain and the views are beautiful. Very very comfortable units. There are no activities at the resort but that was fine for us. The pool was not heated and a little crowded so we did not use it. You can rent movies for $2 at the office. We spent most of our time around Stowe and ventured into Burlington twice.

I've stayed there twice. Great location. I didn't understand why the security cameras were at the Hot Tub and not the pool. Hmm

I purchased a TimeShare last year at the Grandview Las Vegas and recently exchanged it for a week at Mountainside in Stowe the first week of January. This will be our first exchange (middle aged couple with 2 adult sons). We will fly to Boston and drive from there in a rented SUV. We hope to exchange for a ski resort every year. Can you recommend good ones? About Stowe Mountainside: Are the units clean? Do they have enough cooking utensils, towels? Any places to eat within walking distance? Do you know if the free shuttle to the mountain stops near the resort? Any tours or touristy things to do nearby? Historic places, etc?
