Was there for a week inside the last 2 weeks and have to agree ....just great for us .
Yes they have a bar ...indeed is this unusual for Marriott ? Have been to 4/5 Marriotts in the US and usually no bar . Last week in HHI bar closed at 6pm ! All strange ...it's nice to have something after a dinner .

Had to chuckle a bit about your noise remarks. We stayed on the other side of the building a couple of years ago and all was well until the night they had LOOOOUUUUDDDD music on the street right below our window until about 2 in the morning. It was so loud that you couldn't even hear the television in the room and we were pretty high up. We're usually early to bed, but there was no sleeping that night.

Actually the hotel manager who checked us in offered to move me because the room that I was booked into with points was on a higher floor and he said if we stayed in that room that chances are we would not sleep at night. At first I thought it was a ploy to get us to give up our higher view room for a lesser view room but he assured me that the room on the 2nd floor had soundproofing which the room on the 6th floor did not. So I took his word for it and moved to #102. We slept just fine and it was very roudy outside the window as you could see lots of college kids staggering down the street and being very roudy. The only thing that woke me were the lights from the police car and the siren. Otherwise I slept just fine.
