We spent a week here in room 3135 in the Coba building. We were on an Interval International Trade. We did not do the All Inclusive.
There is free parking on site and check in went better than usual. Meaning quicker. Gel, temps and mask required as entering lobby were the norm. Most folks did adhere to mask requirement though always there are the tourist hold outs!
Bell men were very polite and helpful.
Our room was a 2 bedroom, fully equipped unit, with 2 bathrooms, which were stocked with shampoo, soap, towels and Tp daily, 3 tv's, a washer and dryer, living room, large balcony, full refrigerator and stove with oven, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen utensils and cooking supplies were a bit scarce but we made due. We used the kitchen a lot, opting not to eat out with the state of Covid. In reality contrary to what I thought it was easy and relaxing to eat in with supplies from Costco and Sam's. We were very comfortable in this room which overlooked the marina. Very peaceful and quiet.
The
Uxmal building was under some major remodeling and though the sound of construction was ever present it was not per se bothersome.
We did attend the owner's update presentation, they even used an acrylic divider when we unmasked to eat. Nice touch, impressive.
It was, what sounded like a great deal, even for us but we opted out anyway. The pressure was very low key.
The staff throughout the resort wore masks all the time. There were the cases of under the nose masks, but for the most part worn correctly. The guests were another story. The pools were jam packed and no social distancing whatsoever. We avoided the pools and used the beach. The beach is lovely with lots and lots of loungers and palapas. Food and drink service is provided chair side on the beach and we did take advantage of that. Food was tasty and quite decent as were drinks. The vendors were in full force but respectful of distancing.
Covid protocol overall a 6 out of 10, too many unmasked guests in halls, elevators etc. We expected better.
Check out also was fie other than a bit slow. We had a great week despite some hiccups and surely will return.
