Paradise Village
Nuevo Nayarit aka Nuevo Vallarta
Check in as usual is a long, arduous process with very little information given to guests. Actually no information is given nless you meet with the "concierge" who is just the first person in a long line of timeshare sales folks. We met with her and told her right up front not interested in upgrading or anything so we received no information!
We were assigned room 4516 in the Tikal building as there was construction going on near where we originally assigned and there were no rooms available in Coba our favorite choice.
We had a nice one bedroom unit with 2 bathrooms a definite plus on the second bathroom. The units have comfort height toilets and most everything you need for a week stay. This unit unlike the ones we stay in Coba did not have an oven though only 2 burner stovetop. Kitchen smaller than in Coba. We made due.
Bedroom was fine pillows not too great. The maid came daily and cleaned though she frequently had to return as something was running short, be it bath towels, hand towels or other. Amenities like shampoo are in tiny hard bottles, difficult to get product out of.
The resort is large and beach area very large with tons of palapas, thank goodness as you could not even get a chair close to the pool and umbrellas for shade, almost nonexistent by pool. Our time was thus spent on beach which was just fine.
Service throughout resort is fair but not very friendly. Everyone seems either too busy or not interested. We were not doing all inclusive, so we did utilize beach service and such.
The location of the resort is great, right next to Paradise Village mall and free parking though even that is difficult and all along roads despite having underground parking lot.
We usually like this resort except the check in and out which runs worse than check in as they treat you as if you are planning to steal everything in the unit. No one wants the Paradise Themed plates in the rooms. ( Ugly)! We felt the service and whole vibe this trip at resort was not friendly. Instead of check in and out process getting better over the years it is getting worse.
Somewhat disappointing stay.
Will return for the beach and hope for improvements. Good resort as a get away with a Florida feel for decor.
