I have been contacted by Resorts Transfer Inc offering to sell my timeshare but require an upfront payment to cover document prep. Do they get the properties sold as they say they will?

Never pay a company an upfront fee...they will take your money and then do nothing - maybe they will list your TS someplace online with a 15K asking price - and see, they did what they said - advertise your week.
It will never sell thru their methods.
Is your TS paid off in full?
Are your Maintenance fees paid up thru 2010...

If you feel your TS has more worth then none, you can list it on ebay for about $35 with a starting bid of $1 or $100.
If you would like to tell us what your ownership is, we should be able to tell you a ballpark of what it s worth.
Is it a brand name such as Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, Hyatt, Wyndham?
Is it a summer week in Myrtle Beach?
A ski week?
A southern California summer week.
Caribbean winter?
All these weeks/ownerships have worth in the resale market.
So let us know what and when and what size unit u own.
