  • Christie Lodge Resale Transfers New Rules

    On June 1st a new CCR addendum was added to the Christie Lodge.

    Before the Christie Lodge allows a deed to be recorded they require a copy of the new owners driver's license.
    The resort will then contact the new owners asking eight questions regarding Christie Lodge rules and notifying them that in the year 2024 the HOA owners will vote to remain a timeshare or to sell the resort.

    This slows the transfer process but according to the resort quite a few transfers have been made to dumping corporations making no payments whatsoever when billed by the resort.

    It is an attempt to protect the owners and the property but the best approach would be to file a lawsuit against the dumping corporation for fraud.
    The Judge could unwind the corporate shell based on blatant fraud causing the individuals involved to be personally liable in both civil and criminal court.

    The Judge could cause all deeds to be voided and the original owner could end up with week again as an unwilling participant to defraud the HOA.
    If so then the original owner would be responsible for all past, present and future annual fees and special assessments.
