Timeshare Transfering Information & Warning

I never encouraged anyone to contact me and do not even know how to do that.
It took me a good twenty minutes to learn how to send a private email to bigfrank.
There seems to be a great deal of sensitivity regarding this information and a circling of the wagons.
General information is intended to be read by anyone willing to read it and for people that don't know it all.
My replacement of the subtractions has not been edited and my comments never asked anyone to contact me.
It is a shame to discourage differing opinions then your own and trying to mask your reasons by ridiculing my user name as everyone has a user name.
I don't represent any company or service that is proselytizing anything.
Though I may be new to your forum I anticipated a warmer reception to my contributions when addressing timeshare consumer information.
I will withdraw from further participation as the majority of these comments do not provide the benefit of the doubt and seem to portray my comments in a negative manner.

Just because someone has authority or tenure to edit doesn't make it right.
Is this information inaccurate?
Does it break the rules?
Is ignorance bliss?
Or is it a personal bias?

Who cares what the "purpose of the forum" is? Read the forum rules you had to agree to when you joined and you will get your answer.

No one is stopping him from speaking, just eliminating some thing that was contrary to our rules. Apparently he has decided to speak no more.

Actually that is a duplicate of a post in another forum, which is a violation of our rules.
Crystal, you could drive from Tonawanda down to West Virginia and speak to him in person, or you could just listen to others here who don't have a hidden agenda.

I have been on other forums not associated with timeshares. I hope I am not causing paranoia.

The purpose of this particular section of the forums is to provide helpful information about the required transfer process and fees to change ownership of a timeshare from one name to another..
I think you are looking for information on how to liquidate your own ownership, rather than details of what the transfer process entails.
You can post your timeshare in the freebies section of this website, to try and find another owner who is willing to take over your ownership. You should also make sure you have contact your resort or management company to determine if they have any type of relinquishment or deedback program.
If none of that works, you should contact a brokerage who offers a liquidation listing program that does not require any type of upfront fee. My brokerage does so for a $695 transaction fee that is due when the timeshare is sold- but I'm sure there are probably others as well. Just remember to not pay any type of upfront fee!
As always, your best option is simply to try to learn how to squeeze as much usage and value as possible from your ownership. This forum is fantastic for helping timeshare owners understand how to get the most value back from what they own, and I'm sure there have been hundreds who came here trying to learn how to get rid of their week- but then realized that can still provide years of great vacations and travel.
Never buy a timeshare, or sell a timeshare on impulse.. Take your time and learn as much as possible before making a decision either way!my travel website: Vacation-Times.org.

Go with one that you pay after the transfer is complete- there is one advertised in our classified section.

IMHO, the title should be edited as it reflects poorly on a reputable company with the same name, the very well-like and admired owner of which just passed away.
