  • Is this worth it?

This is a Wyndham Membership that comes with an RCI membership, so basically you can use the points annually at any resort amongst the thousands of resorts in both Wyndham and RCI resort lists. Points renew at the end of June of each year. This membership has 563,000 points and is a VIP Gold membership.

I recently deposited part of my points for the year in RCI weeks and got one red week two bedrooms, 3 red week one bedrooms, and one white week bedroom. So, the 563,000 points in Wyndham equates to more than five high season weeks in the RCI system (see RCI.com for listing all those resorts worldwide).

The point can also be used for other things like airfare, car rental, and hotels outside the resorts, so you can get entire vacations for free, no airfare, not car rental.

Seller will split 50/50 any fees incurred in transferring ownership

    Price: 400$

That's alot of Wyndham points. How much are the Maintenance Fees on this amount of points? Do you know where the home resort is for these points?

For example I pay around $700 for 168K Wyndham points but I think I pay one of the lower MF's in the system cause my resort is pretty new.

Wyndham is a great mini-system with lots of options, especially if you live on the east coast. They do kinda nickel and dime you with silly fees but it's still a pretty decent value overall if you learn how to use the system wisely.

I deposited 2 sets of points into RCI and got nice exchanges in return that were good value to me but that was before the changes to Wyndham/RCI deposits, so today I wouldn't be happy with those RCI exchanges. I'm more inclined now to use my points solely within the Wyndham mini system as opposed to giving them to RCI unless I really want something like a Disney resort. There are lots of nice places to go within the mini-system and it's less competition than trying to get things in RCI.

Take your time learning about Wyndham before pulling the trigger. It's a good system but it's wise to be a very well educated consumer going into this ownership than trying to figure out later on if what you bought was decent.
Not saying this isn't a good deal but if you miss out on this one, trust me another good one is just around the corner.

LIF, are you trying to sell this ownership?
VIP perks do not transfer with resale ownership.
RCI has recently changed their portal for Wyndham Point owners - so I am not sure how many actual weeks you can get from your ownership as some 2BRs are as high as 224,000??? Maybe chriskre can help me with this.

And what are the monthly maint fees associated with this large ownership?
Where your points are deeded is a BIG concern for Wyndham owners.

Chris, isn't your ownership EOY??? so fees are $700 per year every year for 168 EOY?

I am very curious to know others thoughts on this subject. I have 84000 points that I am trying to gift away and wonder if there will be any appeal?

Yes I own EOY but I pay around $32 a month in MF's so it's roughly $700 for 168K points. I looked long and hard for that unit and paid a premium for it.
Not really that much but not $1.

I hardly ever see it on ebay anymore. Not sure why but it's not being dumped like some of the other resorts.
