We bought an ILX timeshare, which then was bought out by Diamond Resorts. I am so confused by the switch over, and our fees are just too high to justify keeping it on my husband's teacher salary. We'd like to sell it, but every company I've found requires a fee upfront.
It's 3000 point/yr and it's deeded (I assume that didn't change with the buyout, I still have the deed) our home resort is in Sedona, AZ. My account "level" says 'valued club member' and my 'type' is 'premiere club connection'. I have no idea what any of that means.
I've noticed in this forum a mention of 'valuable' or 'unvaluable' timeshares. How do i know if mine is valuable, how much it's worth, and where should I sell it? What are the steps to selling it? I hate wasting money, so I'd rather educate myself and do what I can than pay someone else to do it, plus money is tight.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
