  • Property Taxes for Virgin Island timeshares are finally being billed!

It appears that timeshare owners are now receiving the past property tax bills for their ownerships in the Virgin Islands. 2007 taxes were scheduled to be due in March of 2011, and 2008 will be due later this year. 2009 & 2010 are expected to be billed next year. 2011 & 2012 will be billed in 2013.. And then in 2014 everything should finally catch up with billing for both 2013 & 2014 being sent to owners.

This taxation may come as a surprise to many owners, since it has been years since a tax bill was levied due to various lawsuits on the island.

There has been a nice discussion of this on TUG with specific amounts being levied for owners at Marriott's Frenchmans Cove. Click here to access those threads.

Yup, the 2007 bills were due May 1,2011.
This will help many people who were trying to sell and couldn't because of the outstanding taxes.

I was convinced we had discussed this situation on TS4M's, but darn if I could find the thread.
