  • Diamond Resorts 10K points

I am a DRI US member looking to sell my points and end my timeshare ownership. I have fallen out of the loop from when I bought with EPIC resorts and i know its been bought out several times and is now Diamond Resorts.
What is the process of doing this? Am i screwed or will other DRI members buy my points for a certain price per point? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks everyone.

With the current state of the market, you'll need to focus on liquidation as there is little to no value for 10,000 Diamond points at this time. (This is a problem facing much of the timeshare industry, not just DRI)..

If you are willing to give them away, you can post a note in the Freebies section by clicking HERE.

You can also post free ads in some other online classified venues such as the following:

    ebayclassifieds.com
    cleartimeshares.com
    bidshares.com
    vacationtimesharerentals.com

I'm sure there are also many others.. Just avoid anything that requires a large upfront fee. Both redweek.com and myresortnetwork.com are also good venues, but both require a reasonable fee for ads.

You should google Diamond Resorts International Complaints! My advice....dump that property as soon as you can. This is not a company you want to do business with. There are currently 1,000 + united to bring letigation against them. In my opinion they are nothing short of EVIL.

A bit extreme and dramatic, but I can certainly understand the frustration of any consumer who owns a timeshare they cannot or do not use. As long as it is used, a timeshare can be a great way to vacation in luxury and can greatly expand your travel options- but if it goes unused it is just a huge hole in your pocket.

          DRI is not that bad

DRI is not a bad system. Their only fault in my eyes is the swift increase in maintenance fees over the last four years. I have learned to use my DRI timesare and take good advantage of it.

I originally bought with Epic too. However, if you have lost contact since it was Epic, you need to catch up because things are really different. Your 10,000 points with Epic is now about 8500 points with Diamond. You may not be in the Club also. I am not sure where you're at, but you need to figure that out.

If you have not been using your timeshare, it is a waste of money. It won't be easy to get out of it. If it is paid for in entirety meaning there are no loans of the points, you can just not pay the maintenance fees and the points will go away.
