  • Looking to give away MGV 310 Points Everything up to date and paid for.

    Hello,

We are MGV Platinum Owners and have 310 points that refresh June 1st 2015. We paid cash for this property about 10 years ago and have really enjoyed the local resorts. However we are moving and will no longer be close to the resorts and my wife does not fly. I was a bit sad to find out that my property is worth 0, but it forced me to make sure to take time off every year so money well spent.

We are up to date on our maintenance fees. (Approx. 375$ a quarter)
The property is free and clear.

We would just need to file a transfer of ownership and the 250$ cost. (which I will pay)

This would be best for someone near California as you can drive to a lot of the resorts and real get your moneys worth.

Just message me on here and we can start the conversation and iron out details. (I am not interested in companies or people that can help me get $$$$ for my timeshare.)

    Shawn
I am located in Los Angeles.

    Hi Shawn,

    Welcome to the forum.
Can you please elaborate a little on what MGV stands for.
Is it Marriott Grand Vista or something else?

OP is talking about California, so not Grande Vista.

        Welcome to Diamond Resorts International®

        Dear Monarch Grand Vacations Owner,

As you may be aware, DPM Acquisition LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Diamond Resorts Corporation, successfully acquired all the assets of Pacific Monarch Resorts, Inc. last year, and with that assumed oversight of Monarch Grand Vacations.

Since that time, Diamond has provided an extended resort destination offering – Monarch Grand Vacations Club Connection - and the ability to make your reservations online. With those developments complete, we are now redirecting your online services to DiamondResorts.com.

To make bookings, payments and research your vacations, click here, then click on Login located at the top right of the page displayed. Please use your current login and password, or register for a new one if you did not have one before.

We look forward to seeing you at the resorts later in the year!

        Regards,
        Diamond Resorts International®

Monarch Grand Vacations is a points-based program launched by Pacific Monarch Resorts in 1999. Pacific Monarch Resorts is a timeshare company that provides 5-star quality according to Interval International. They have been in business for almost two decades and have resorts in Mexico and the western United States.
Within the United States, their resorts can be found in Las Vegas, Southern California, and in Utah. The resort in Utah, the Cedar Breaks Lodge and Spa, is unique because it is a timeshare that offers a unique ski experience rather than the usual exotic and tropical beach style resort vacation. Pacific Monarch Resorts newest property is the Cabo Azul Resort and Spa in Los Cabos, Mexico. This 332 villa resort is located on 12 acres of property which has 600 feet of beach front for timeshare owners to soak up fun in the sun.
Monarch Grand Vacations offers a Grand Reward Program. Through this program, owners can use points to modify their vacation experiences. Owners can use their points at any Monarch Grand Vacations resort. They can choose whether they stay for their full weeks or spread the time out through many mini vacations. They also have the option to upgrade the size of their villa based on availability. This flexibility allows owners the ability to make their vacations more unique and better suited to their needs. Unfortunately all of this is based on availability, so it is advised to make reservations far in advance. Without booking villas and times well before the vacation date, owners may find that they cannot get into the timeshare during the time they would like.
Owners of a Monarch Grand Vacations timeshare have the option of day use at many of the resorts. Owners can use the pool and other facilities during any time of the year. This usage is specifically from dawn to dusk.
Since Pacific Monarch Resorts did not start its Monarch Grand Vacations points based system until 1999, previous owners of timeshare properties do not belong to the program. Potential buyers of Monarch Grand Vacations should be informed whether the property they are planning on purchasing is part of the program or not.

Shawn - If you don't find a person to take the MGV points, you may want to look into Diamond's Voluntary Surrender Program. It's a new program Diamond started a couple of months ago in which you deedback your timeshare to Diamond. Here is some information about it:

              --------------------------

In order to qualify, the HOA fees must be up-to-date and the owner must have a zero balance on the loan.

To start this process, the owner must send an email to: lossmitigation@diamondresorts.com with the subject line stating: Inventory Takeback.

In the email itself the owner must include:
              -Resort Name
              -Owner(s) Name(s)
              -Account Number
-Inventory owned (ie. weeks, points, etc)
-any other important information regarding the deed

within 7-10 business days, the Diamond Resorts will send an action required correspondence, where the owner will have 15 days to return.

The owner is responsible for any fees associated with the paper work, such as notary, postage etc. which is usually around $250.

              -----------------------------
