The purpose of this forum is simply to provide a centralized area for members to share general information about the ownership transfer process. Information found herein is not legal advice, and is not intended to be taken as legal advice.
I've been involved in the timeshare resale industry for more than nine years, and have supervised brokerages responsible for more than 45,000 transactions during that period. Chances are if I don't know the answer about your resort's transfer process- I will be able to refer you to someone who does!
A timeshare interest can often be more complicated to transfer than general real estate due to the differences in local laws and regulations, and due to the many resort-specific regulations enforced by the developers and/or HOA's themselves. Also, resorts are notorious for changing their transfer requirements from time to time!
While this forum won't provide you with A to Z instructions- it will hopefully give you enough general guidelines to help you feel comfortable with the process of transferring the ownership of a timeshare!
