Universal Day 2 T&A (Tues)

They changed the rules for the wrestling tickets. You had to be there at 9AM where you got your tix and were free to enjoy the parks and be back at 4:30 to get in line in the order you were there to get your tix. I thought this was a much better system. No line breaking, no bickering etc. While waiting for the doors to open a couple of wrestlers came out and we got our pic made with Brother Devon & Jesse. They have a contest to be in the "PIT" which is essentially ringside. It is for the rowdiest fans and there are no seats. Guess who was chosen to be first? Why Kelli of course. Her scream is so loud it will hurt your ears. You will be able to see her Mon on T&A at 8PM on Spike TV. She is standing next to a fan dressed like Hulk Hogan and someone who didn't use deoderant I was in the same place as last night where I could watch Kelli having a ball. (Ain't I a crazy Mom?) After the match we got our pic made with Abyss & I ran into X-Pock and we had those pics made also. After he took his pic w Kelli he asked her where Mom was. He helped me out of the chair and we got a good pic. Lots of fun. Again I had a hard time getting out of the ring so they basically picked me up and handed me off to another big guy. They were really really nice.

I forgot to mention after getting the tix Kelli rolled me to the rides we missed and up to Jimmy Buffett's Margaretaville (wonderful cheesburgers) What would you expect. Went to IOA to look for characters where we lucked up at Dr Seuss land and got our pics made with everyone except Horton. We of course were wearing our thing 1 & thing 2 shirts. She pushed us back to the Studios to get in line. We just had a blast.

Wed: SeaWorld

As I basically didn't see anything except the concert & Shamu on Sat we set off to do it all. Parked in handicapped and slowly walked to guest relations to enter and get the mobility scooter $45. I didn't want Kelli to push me in a wheelchair as there are many hills . She didn't complain about the previous 2 days but she was grateful for the mobility scooter.

Took off to ride the new coaster The Manta Ray. There was an hour wait but we got right on in a separate line. I thought I was going to die. Once in the car they lay you on your stomach so your legs and arms and head are dangling. Then you go every which way but loose. Luckily we hadn't eaten yet. It was one scarey ride!! Kelli said it was much worse than the one at Universal but that the other one , Kracken, was very rough and that she did not recommend that I ride it. Went to see Clyde & Seymour show and the mime guided me into my place with the scooter , then took off with my key mimeing that I had been drinking. He was funny. Saw the other shows and attractions and as it was closing time I just let Kelli go back to ride the Manta again. That night we went to Giordannos (sp) for Italian and it had the best lasagana I've had in a long time. Back to the resort to pack & get ready to leave tomorrow. shaggy

Thurs: Get together & last day & observations

We had a get together at Cracker Barrell at 9:30 for breakfast. It was so good to see Lynn & Lyman again and meet Dori & Marge and their husbands. The eight of us had a wonderful time and one of the waitresses said we must have know each other for a long time as we were having such great fun. She was surprised to find that most of us had just met. The breakfast was great but I just couldn't convert Lynn to grits, even after I docterd them up. Her face was like this-- LOL

After breakfast I figured I had a short time to take Kelli back to see her Grandma where they both ended up when it was time to say goodbye.


My carryons became checkins as they had gotten bigger with "stuff" but she didn't charge me. Good trip home. Kenny picked us up at the airport and I was transported to a nice clean house!! Thank you Saint Kenny

Observations: It was freakin cold the whole dang week and hand to spend money on a hoodie and socks for mittins. The Daytona 500 was a chaotic mess. NEVER AGAIN!! Seaworld was fun as was Universal but nothing has the magic like Mickey!! If you need scooter rent from the park unless you have a very strong man or a hitch/lift. I thought Vacation Village was ok but it was a little dark for me & the beds were not comfy. I would stay there again if nothing else was available. I wasn't in the room long enough to make it a big deal.

and about the grits - we had a connection coming and going to the Cayman Islands in Miami and both ways I ordered grits for my breakfast.
