I hope she gets better soon.

Thank you for asking. At 15 and with a tumor attached to her heart (diagnosed 1 year ago), she continues to fail, but I am okay with this as she's had a great life and has given me one, too. She gets Lasix x3 daily, but it's not working as well as it did. We're getting close here, but I've had this last year to get used to it. Her Vets are fantastic and have worked with me to prolong her quality of life. When that goes, it'll be time.

A note to say that New Yorkers are very helpful and everyone stopped and went out of their way to help when we got turned around. This was the same as last time I was there and I was slowing down the NJIT line at New York Penn Station when getting my ticket to Princeton. The man behind me helped and when I apologized to the line, they were all pleasant.

She is so lucky to have such a loving owner like you.

I'm glad you have the time to spend with her. I went thru a similar thing a few years ago with my little dachshund. She was the love of my life. The best most loyal dog I've ever had. I was blessed to have her for 18 years.

I miss her even today but my new babies (my cats Tiggie & Tequila) have also brought me great joy. They aren't quite like the loyalty of a dog even though my Tequila thinks he's a dog and acts like one.
