We slept in late as it was still too cold to lay out. Once up and at em we deceided to go turn our vouchers in for the Carolina Opry. These ts people have it so rigged!! When I picked up my tix they asked me to go speak to someone for a quick survey. It was a ts hawk for South Beach resort. He wanted me to do a tour at SB. Told him didn't need any more tix so he offered me $100 and since we were just messin around I said ok and off we went. I honestly can say this was the best salesman I have ever met in any field, anywhere, anyhow. A true professional plus he knew his product. No matter how I tried I couldn't get him off the subject. He even engaged Kelli in the discussion. (that was a first) This was not an in and out but it was thoroughly entertaining and had I been a rookie I would have bought. Beware of Roger at South Beach. We parted friends with me telling him he was the best salesman I've ever met anywhere. He was probably thinking , what good is that, I didn't sell her South Beach is a wonderful resort and would not hesitate exchanging in there
After working up an appetite we used our restaurant.com at Thorney's . It was respectable, but there are a lot better steak restaurants in MB. Kelli had ribs and I had a ribeye. It is on par with Sagebrush, better than Golden Corral but not as good as a lot of them.
On to Carolina Opry. I really enjoyed it. They had a wonderful pianist and a lot of high energy songs. It was not as well organized as "One" but boy did they pack in the songs. At One they did a group of songs for each type like country, then 50's , etc but at Carolina Opry it was country, then rock, then oldies, then country, a real mishmash. They had 4 young men who tap danced, sort of like rent or stomp and they were just awesome. Kelli was in love. It definitly wa high energy and I'd recommend either shows.
Afterwards we went to Ocean Drive to Fat Harolds to watch the shaggin and listen to some beach music. I was a happy camper!! I just wish I could dance like that again but with my bad foot I just have to relegate myself to the wonderful happy music!!
