Hello from Nashville!!!

After a boring ( thank goodness) drive to Nashville, we checked into the Wingate by Wyndham near the airport. This is part of the sales presentation deal that I have to go on at 12:30 today. I had requested a double bed but have a king only and they are all sold out so poor old Kelli is stuck.

The Opry Mills shops just opened up this week so I am dropping Kelli off while I do the "update" I wonder how they think they can get blood out of a turnip as the old saying goes. Oh well. Afterwards we'll go downtown and hit the bars & shops and we have tix for the Opry at the Ryman tonight. Kelli is looking forward to seeing Steel Magnolias and I'm looking forward to Larry Gatlin & Ricky Skaggs.

Kelli wants to go on a wrestler hunt.

I think it would be fun to sit and listen to Ricky Skaggs. He is really good with the old time bluegrass music.

Glad to hear that Opry Mills is open again!! The last rumor I had heard was that it wasn't likely to happen. Enjoy the Ryman; fantastic way to spend an evening.

Chris, wish I was always "traveling" that trip to Orlando was not a vacation but to say goodbye to "grandma" . Luckily staying at Bonnet Creek and going one night to the TNA taping" made it tolerable. I hope you can visit me when I come to Sanibel in July.

The Nashville Trip!! Wow is all I can say.

What a wonderful trip. No mishaps except Kenny got a speeding ticket on the way home. I kept tellng him to slow down, but did he listen? Warned him I wouldn't pay the ticket but guess I should pay some.

Thurs: went to the sales update and it was a piece of cake. He didn't know he was scheduled so wasn't prepared. I did my usual , I'm the nicest person you'll ever meet who will say NO" He laughed, I explained my financial situation had changed , he understood, he went from working for Darryl Waltrip for years, making bookoo of money to working at Wyndham. Needless to say, topic went to Nascar, then traveling, then here's you're $100 . " I enjoyed meeting you!!"

Took the $100 and drove downtown to get 2 sets of access passes for 50 each. Yay, great value. More on that later. Hit the honkey tonks and listened to the music. What fun.

Later that night went to the Ryman and it was great!! Larry Gatlin was a great host and had us in stitches. Also saw Rhonda Vincent, Steel Magnolia ( Kelli's fav) the White's, Gene Watson and others. Rhonda joined Gene on stage and did a duet. Parking was $15 but when I went to leave and pay something happened with the car b4 me and the arm didn't go back down so several of us got it free!!
