As I've mentioned in a couple of other threads, I just came back from my first trip to Maui. We had a fantastic time. And I wanted to thank all the people who helped out by providing tips.
First ... Maui Revealed - What a wonderful book! We got all kinds of information out of the book. All the little insights helped us decided what beaches to visit, where to stop on the road to Hana, etc. I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Maui.
Second ... Old Lahaina Luau - We had fantastic seats because I made reservations in Feb. But I think all seats were pretty good. The food was good and the entertainment was fantastic!!
Third ...Hecock's. We went there using out Entertainment book coupon. We got to see the Feast of Lele for free and had a nice dinner for a much lower price. I was dubious about how good our view would be, but we were only a few feet behind the tables of people at the feast. They charge $105 pp for the feast. I wore my leis from the Luau and felt just as festive - and smart too. The people at Hecock's were very pleasant and encouraged us to stay for the whole show. They had empty tables so I don't know what they'd do if it were crowded.
Fourth ... All of the other tips that I picked up from the various threads I've read here. Thanks a bunch everyone!
