I had a weird experience on the United site the other night. I was looking for a business class fare from Boston to Heathrow. The night before, the fares were ~$2750. Then the next night, the fares were coming up over $4300! I got out of the site, got back in and got the same, very high price.
I went into fare compare and got the $2750 price (after taxes). Got back into United and got the $2750. Got out of the United site and logged back in. Got the 4300+ price again.
Went back to fare compare and then back into United and got the $2750 again. I tried this several times. Somehow it appears that the United site knew that I went to fare compare.
I don't know where that high fare was coming from because the business fare, unrestricted, was quite a bit higher and first class was even more.
I never saw something like that before! Has anyone else?
