After reading my trip report and of couse nowhere close to being done I thought I would try something new. Please let me know what you think and if you have questions or want more details about something I'll be glad to do it.
Fairfield Grand Desert: Great location near Hard Rock & Ellis Island. Lots of activities (altho did not partake) as I had my own agenda. We were put in the new tower on the 11th floor facing the strip. I thought it was too brown, very masculine, not to my taste but still nice nonetheless. Easy check in & very friendly people For my bd they sent up a bottle of wine. I thought that was a nice touch but I gave it to Fern as I am not a wino, more of a "little whisky girl" She gave it to Jerry, hope he thinks of me when he has a drink.
Sat: Bill & Betty, Kelli & I got in late so we went to Ellis Island where we had wonderful prime rib for $7.99 Left my contribution to the city
Sun: Happy BD to me!! B&B took us to gospel brunch at House of Blues/Mandalay Bay. Great show & wonderful food, highly recommend. One of the highlights. Showed B & B sev casinos in area. That night went to the Rio to see the Show in the Sky. Kelli attacked te Chippendale dancers who were posing for pics so we had to do the same. They wouldn' let me use my camera ( money grubbing stinkers!!) so ended up $75 poorer plus my loses of the day. I thought it was a rule you weren't supposed to loose on your bd!!
Mon: Went to Hilton to see Star Trek. Did both rides and had pics made with Klingon's and somebody else who wanted to know if I was a human coatrack as everyone kept handing me coats. Trying to get pics like that was futile and he said it's a wonder we took so long to evolve here on earth. It was a hoot!! BTW, I finally won!! I turned in my first black chip playing bj. I was yelling, whoo, hoo, I love the HIlton, the dealer said don't you lve me too? Oh yeah, baby. Kelli & Betty came out of the bathroom laughing like hyennas , said they knew I was winning as they could hear me all the way in the bathroom!!
Deceided to play WOF, guess who won agan? Another 100!! Like I said I love the Hilton!!
Later that night we went to see Mama Mia. It was my bd present from my mom. Couldn't get good tix on my bd so got them tonight. What a show!!! Kelli sat crosslegged on the edge of her chair, her eyes never left the stage. It wa a definite, highlight and highly recommend it.
