Greetings From London !

Arrived late last night - flight got in at 8:25 pm and then had to wait for one hour to clear passport control. About three planes landed with ¬ 1,000 people and 5 passport control people at Heathrow. First time it ever happened, but I organized my backpack and studied my travel route into central London while waiting. Got my 7 day Tube & Bus card and then trained into Paddington, tried to change to the north Bakerloo Line, but that was down. Schlepped my wheeled duffel to the street and took the replacement bus to Maida Vale.
Carlton Court is interesting, but serviceable and Maida Vale is a diverse and funky area, but I like it. Very different from Kensington.
Just went food shopping and am returning to Carlton in a few minutes.
Am going out to the pub with my new Aussie friends this evening. The Abbey Road Pub. I might need to be bailed out !!!!

Try the little Thai restaurant on the street behind the Carlton Court. They have cheap lunch specials and were very nice blokes. Have fun! Cheerio!
