  • Mouse's House Trip/ Sat 10/27

If I had a reputation as a scatterbrain , this trip report will only prove it.I truly am beginning to think there is something wrong with my brain, like a few fries short of a happy meal, but keep putting it off to stress.

I had good intentions of starting packing so nothing would be overlooked but of course that went by the wayside. Started packing on Friday and finished just b4 we left. I forgot my camera chargers, left some clothes in the dryer, said to heck with the snacks but I was on my way.

Stopped at Cracker Barrell for lunch where we split some chicken & dumplings, veggies, etc. Left Kelli at the gate with the luggage and proceeded to the long term parking lot. Got out of the car and doubled over with pain . LUckily I was parked next to the exit gate where you pay to get out. I was taken to his office where if I can put this as delicatly as I can I ended up arriving at the ticket gate with Kelli's Jimmy Johnson blanket wrapped around my bottom half. Luckily the baggage hadn't been checked in yet so got a change of clothes and headed to the bathroom to change. Thank God I didn't know anybody because I really got a lot of stares, like maybe there was this derainged lady running loose in the airport. The flight was nonstop, smooth, and no lost luggage. Yay, I'm here.

First stop, the outlaws, or as some say, the ex inlaws. Kelli is really excited about getting tix for Wrestlemania which is being held in Orlando this year so she & her Dad are meeting Friday night to get pretix. I write a check for $200 for mine & her friends and "Mom" says what about Kelli's? Oh, Larry is going to buy those, isn't that what you said? Or, at least I thought that's what you said. Looks at his Mom and said, yes I'm taking care of this one. After years of dealing with no child support when she was growing up I have to say I was right proud of myself!!

We make it to the Houses of Summer Bay where it was everything I expected and hoped for except I didn't have a hottub by the pool. That didn't make me no mind over matter because I deceided I could just plop down and live there the rest of my life!! What a gorgeous abode. I have to put it right up there with the best of them. I don't know what anyone else could ask for. ( Doesn't take much to make me happy!!) Sigh!!!

    Day 2 coming up MGM

      Hi Shaggy,
Enjoy reading you and hope the rest of the trip went better after day 1.

As for forgetting things - I haven't in a long while because I have a typed list of 'stuff' on the computer. I might change or 'tweak' it depending on where I'm going (like a beach week means an extra bathing suit, more sunblock etc). -- I print this out and start packing from it, crossing off everything until I"m done -- well, you really can't forget anything once it is in your master list
I think I did this after I left the battery for the video camera home when we first went to Smugglers/Vermont in 1997 and we drove 45 minutes to a Sears to buy one.

Shaggy - Which house did you stay in - Lake view or Pond View
Bet you enjoyed having 2 huge master bedrooms and 2 hot tubs
Did you take time to enjoy the private pool & screened in patio.

Marti, I was I think lake view. I was the 2nd house (pink) 302 as you enter the houses area. We were near the edge of the lake. I have pics of Kelli swimming in "our" pool. I wish I had had more time to use the pool but the tub felt good after a long day at the parks.
