  • Sunday/Day 2/ MGM

Woke up ready to go. Crap, where's my watch? It's gone, my favorite one with the hand blown Italian beads See, told you I was disorganized.

Hopped on my electric scooter and off we went. First stop was the photopass person on main street. Kelli wanted to see if we could find Mater but ran into Kim Possible and Ron? Possible. I swear I have no idea who these people are, they sure aren't Mickey Mouse, but she got her pic taken. Off to find Mater, NO MATER, just Lighting McQueen. It was really fun watching it come around the corner . Kelli deceided to be a kid and wanted to go to Honey I Shrunk the Kid playground. Next was the Car Stunt Show. It was ok but you could miss it. Next was High School Musical , which was a great show. Kelli got up and played in the band. She definitly wasn't shy this trip!! We had reservations at Hollywood & Vine /Fantasmic pkg. The food was just ok but I'm glad we had it as the show was really crowded and didn't have to wait in line. I truly loved Fantasmic, think it's my new favorite night show. There were fireworks, both in the air and on the water, a parade of sorts, wonderful lighting. Kelli's fav character is Dopey (that's who she was for Halloween) and she was so ticked off when we finally found him he was leaving with Snow White. No more pics with him. Fudgebuckets!!! Off we went to Rock n Roller Coaster, the scooter was fast becoming my best friend. I was really looking forward to this. Yeah right, I almost puked!! Good grief, it took off like a bat out of he-- . It was a short ride but was glad when it was over. Kelli wanted to ride it again. I'm definitly not as young as I used to be. I never want to see it again!! It was about time to go to Fantasmic. Realized we had hardly done anything except look for characters and made a mental note to come back and finish this park off. We did do the Muppets 3D but I wanted to see the parade and the show Beauty and the Beast.

On the way home stopped by Publix and bought some stuff for breakfast, snacks, drinks. The usual, of course I had to buy as I had left that at home. Went back to condo where we had ham & cheese sandwiches, cokes, chips. Good night!!

I love MGM, I can be done with the park in a half day and still have energy left. Fantasmic IMO is the best show at Disney.

We were at the World 10/19 thru 10/26

It was my second time ever and DD's first. Acutally, our first time was this past April. This trip was to check out the timeshare I bought on eBay. But, I digress. MGM is also my favorite and DD wanted to do almost everything. Keep in mind that I'm a late bloomer in many respects. I'm 69, DD is 24 and DW is 52. DW had a birthday while we were there and had a great time, but that's another story. At MGM, we hit the Rocking Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror, StarWars, Beauty and the Beast, Muppets 3D, Fantasmic and also did some shopping. I must agree, Fantasmic is the best night time show. It is so spectacular. Sorry to run on, but I just love the World.

Did you rent the scooter at the park, or for the week from Care Vacations, or bring it from home?

I rented it at the parks. I didn't want the hassel of trying to lift the thing into the trunk. It worked out about the same as I only rented for 5 days @ $35 per day. BTW, my new leg brace is a miracle. No more back pain!! shaggy
