Day5/Wed/Halloween

Here it is!! The big day, long day, big expectation day. OMG, the wake up call at 7am was no fun. We had an appointment in Norway with the princesses for 9am. If I had known how easy it was to find the princesses I probably wouldn't have booked it but it was really good. Loved the potatoes, it was like a hash brown casserole. One thing about buffets is Kelli can drink all the milk she wants without being charged per glass. We had our pics made with them all, Princess Aurar (Sp) Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Moulan. She asked Kelli if we had seen a dragon? Huh? I didn't know the story behind that one. I ran into a member of the dream team but I wasn't granted any wishes. This morning we did more searching for characters. We found Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto in one place. They now make it convenient to get pics without everyone else in the way. They have stations and a line in front of each character, makes it easy. Went to the Living Seas to see the Nemo 3D then on to The Land area where we got fast passes for Soarin. While waiting we did the nutrition / Lion King thing, the boat ride and then it was time for Soarin. I really, really liked it. On to Figment and playing in the fountains. I am now ready to do the world showcase so we head to Canada where we saw the movie and had our pics made with some bear character (no idea who that was) Listened to a great band but as I was relaxing and enjoying the music she spyed Belle and the Beast and took off running.It is rare to find the Beast so I put my scooter in high gear and took off to join her. Whew, we made it. She was in line just in time as they cut it off 2 people after her. Scooted on around the circle where who should we find but her very favorite, the one she had been searching for forever, DOPEY!!. I let out a yell and Kelli came flying. She was so happy!! Some very tense moments as I found out they only allow the characters out for so many minutes before they have to go in. I wasn't sure she would make it but she was the last one and she told Dopey he was her fav and she was dressing up like him for Halloween. I swear it looked like he blushed and was so happy and gave her a big kiss and a hug. I don't know how costumed characters learn to show emotions but it is so cool to witness it. With one happy Kelli we headed off to the MMNSSHP. TBC.

Halloween Night @ Magic Kingdom

We deceided to leave the car and take the monorail to MK (big mistake) They assured me I would be able to get back on the monorail after the party. Wrong!! More later. We lucked up and got to ride up front so we could see the "world" When you go don't forget to ask to ride up front.

MK was decorated with many, many Halloween decorations such as pumpkins, scarecrows, jackolanterns. I took my ticket from the scooter at Epcot and exchanged it for another scooter at MK. No problem at all. I had been led to believe they would probably be out of scooters but they had plenty. This night was sold out but we got around with no problem. Upon entering she found characters (of course) and instead of heading to Fantasyland & Tomorrow Land we headed to the left where she rode Alladan's magic carpet. It's just like dumbo. Oh well. We had ressies at LTT where all the characters were dressed in costumes. Very cute. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale. On the way out we ran into Woody & his pals. Yes, more pics. Watched the end of the parade and headed to Country Bear Jamboree. I hadn't seen that in years. I was dressed as the evil queen in Snow White & Kelli was Dopey. Don't wear dangling clothes on a scooter!! I thought I was going to kill myself as it got stuck under the wheels and about pulled my arms out of my sockets By now I was a pro on the scooter (or so I though I thought I could get my scooter inbetween the 1st and 2nd row but NO!! Crash!! Backed up and went upfront where this big redneck was hootin & a hollerin . He said we should switch costumes as I was the "dopey" one. Yhis show really needs updating. There was hardly no one in the place but us and our "friends" behind us. We got each other laughing so hard it hurt. Lots of fun.

Saw the first set of fireworks from the side of the castle but realized I needed to be better for 2nd set so afterwards scooted on to the front of the castle to see the 2nd parade which was really good. We were in perfect position for the "villans" After the show they stayed for pics so we got some of the "more rare" characters. Jafar, Capt Hook, Druella, my twin the wicked witch and others. My twin was great, she wanted to know who's idea of a charade it was and wouldn't stand next to me, so we covered Kelli with our capes. There was a family dressed up light Peter Pan, Wendy , etc and the alligator. When the gator went up to Capt Hook he ran away, and then they got in a sword fight. I thought it was funny. The fireworks were nice but this time I was too close. Oh well. It was now after midnight and we had been up since 7:30am so we waited for the traffic to thin out and headed on home. It was around 1 am before my head hit the pillow Please let me SLEEP!!!shaggy

Did you rent a locker & change before or after MK?

Did you buy the special MNSSHP collectors pin?

We have been to two MNSSHP First night Parties
but never dressed up. Have our photo`s hanging
on refrig. Litttle Lucky and gang are in them too!

I left them in the car at Epcot and changed into them there and then rode the monerail to WDW

I have to get them downloaded, I lost part of the media card so have to go to Ritz as they have one.

Did you buy the special MNSSHP collectors pin?

Darn, I didn't know they had a special one!! I would have bought it. They ran out of ex-large tshirts so didn't even get it but Kelli got hers!!

Little Lucky has traveled more than me!!

BTW, don't ever leave your car at another park and hope to get there. They gave me eronious info, said I could take the monorail back but it had quit running so I had to take the Animal Kingdom bus and they left me off at Epcot but it was a long way from my car and I had to walk forever which didn't make me too happy.
