I had to think about this one, as there is very little I hate about traveling. What I dislike the most about travel I guess is waiting for my bags to arrive on the airport's conveyor belt at my vacation destination. In the back of my mind there is always the fear that I’ll be left standing there empty handed with no bags. This has happened more than once but luckily the bags were delivered within 8 or so hours.

Packing up to go home and trying to stuff all the "souvenirs" into a suitcase that was crammed full to begin with.

Standing in the security line at the airport.

Too many restaurant meals! I love eating out from time to time, but if I have to do it for every meal, I find that I don't enjoy it any more. That's why timeshare travel is ideal for us!

I dislike the waiting in airport lines but I dislike more getting behind or ahead of someone who complains the whole time.

I dislike having a long walk to another terminal for a connecting flight,
especially if I don't have much time to get there..

I dislike unpacking and having all the wash to do when getting home. I try to unpack as soon as I get home to get that unpleasant job out of the way.

If people would only just recline an inch or two just to offset the extreme straight up position, it would be much better for both.
          Amen!
Those darn seats shouldn't recline.....I made the point my last flight by putting my book on the top of the seatback in front of me as the persons head was almost in my lap...

I hate cramming my stuff under the seat in front of me and in the overhead racks and fighting to get room for my stuff and my feet. I really, really hate when the person in front of me reclines his/her seat right into my face.

            It's just all so unpleasant.

But getting there is great! I LOVE when the plane lands.
Not to hit on anyone... just taking an opportunity to insert 2 cents...

Relax as though at the amusement park on a LONG, CRAMPPED, BORING ride leading to the Real Enjoyable Stuff. Relax, don't hang on, don't wave your arms in the air and scream. Relax, recline your seat into my face of the person behind you (who also needs to recline).

              HEY, you stole my thought!

I try to vacation a minimum of two weeks... I surely dislike that feeling of the two days toward the end of thinking of going back already. "Hey, we just got here!"

Is this a problem with those FIRST COME couples?

Yeah, I was gonna say: If we all recline, we each have exactly the same amount of personal space as if we all sit up straight.

Most of those airplane seats aren't made for short people like me - upright, my neck is bent forward. It's painful. I like traveling in a relaxed position, asleep if possible to alleviate the boredom and claustrophobia. I would never begrudge someone for reclining their seat, and am surprised to read that it stresses and angers others. My worst flights are those I'm in either the last row or an exit row where my seat can't recline - I come off the plane needing a chiropractor.

I am also a recliner. I also had no idea it would bother the person behind me. No one has ever said a word to me. shaggy

I am too. Do the people who complain about the recliners sit upright the whole time? I couldn't do it. I am however a "thoughtful recliner" I sit upright during drinks/meals and wait until the tray is taken before I recline again. Which is actually not much of a problem nowadays because there is rarely a meal. Oh,but then there was the Song flight-where they do trivia contests on the screen in the head rest of the person in front of you. All that quick pushing of answers can get annoying. Kept my kids entertained though when we sat 2 hours on the tarmack delayed.

I don't mind if people recline a little ~~ just don't try and lay all the way back. The absolute worst though is having a toddler behind you who insists on kicking the seat the entire flight, (Not really his fault ~ I blame the Dad who thought this was "cute".) When I'd mention this and ask the father to please do something ~ my back can't take much more, he'd just say, "he's tired, he'll fall asleep any time now....", well two hours and a half dozen more pleadings to stop...... As was mentioned before, the other thing I hate is the long wait between vacations.
