My husband and I had a wonderful time over the weekend at Lake Tahoe. We drove up early Saturday morning. We tried to get tickets for Saturday to the Heavenly Coaster (zip rider) but they were all booked up, so we bought our tickets for Sunday and then went on the M.S. Dixie's Lake Tahoe Cruise from Zephyr Cove to Emerald Bay. The weather and the lake were so beautiful. I didn't even need to enhance my pictures. LOL.
We had (my birthday) dinner Saturday evening at the Chart House with great views of Lake Tahoe. They gave me a special birthday dessert, but (thankfully) didn't sing to me.
Sunday, we got to the Heavenly Center (on Highway 50 in South Lake Tahoe near the casinos) before 10 a.m. and caught the first Gondola of the day. (Our zip ride appointment was for 12 noon). We got off at the first stop, The Deck (Elevation 9,123), which has wonderful views of Lake Tahoe. We took lots of pictures and videos. They have a gift shop there and Cafe Blue--Marcus got Starbuck's coffee there. The gondola doesn't stop at this level e on the way back down so if you don't see it on the way up, you will miss it.
Then we rode the Gondola to the Top Station (9155' Elev.) After spending awhile there, we got onto the Tamarack Chair lift and went up to the zip line take-off deck at 9,580 feet. The ride took us 3,100 feet from there back down to (just above) the Top (gondola) Station, at speeds of up to 50 mph. It was really fun -- not as heart-stopping as a sudden roller coaster drop.
I haven't figured out how to get our video on U-Tube, but you can see a video here:
Heavenly Flyer
I do have a slide show of our pictures on both of these two sites:

We stayed one night in a studio unit at the Americana Vacation Club which I reserved through Resortime.
