Got back from a wonderful vacation in the Pokeynose late last night. I must say I have no sense of direction. When I arrived Kelli wanted to watch the movie so I left her and went to find my condo. Apx 1 hr later I found it after Jay tried to tell me how to get there again. Hey, it was dark . Went back to get Kelli and told her I just found the place. We deceided to go out for pizza and I knew it was right near Shawnee but of course I couldn't find it. Drove by a campground 3 times and finally stopped and asked directions. Hey, guess what, it was across the street from Shawnee!! 
All I could do was laugh. The pizza place gave me directions back to the condo. Found it on the first try
only to find out I had demagnitized my room card
Made it back to Shawnee ok and they made me a new card, an hour later I found the condo again. 
The next morning I drove around and got my bearings. Lesson learned: Don't arrive at night and try to find your condo without bringing a gps!!
Thanks to everyone I had called ahead and got R164 in River Village II . It only had 4 steps!! The bedrooms were upstairs but that was fine. It was fine. Clean, refurbished . The couch was not comfortable. Why do they put such cheap appliances in the kitchen in most timeshares? No icemaker in refrig, coil range with no window and a cheap dishwasher. And can someone please tell me what's the deal on the red bathtub? Kelli was laughing so hard, she said it was Monkey & Maters swimming pool. If youse a big person how do you clean yourself? The shower was so tiny that skinny Kelli was laughing at that too, she could hardly turn around. I/m used to a tiny shower.
I will have to say everyone was very friendly but the young dip at the rec center couldn't tell you anything to do in the area , I don't think she has ever eaten in a restaurant, and she couldn't tell me about waterfalls or anything I asked. That was the only complaint.
Well that's the adventure of the first day and the overall impression . I sure slept well that night.
