  • I met my personal goal!!!!

I wanted to hike to two waterfalls. One was beautiful and easy Dingman's Falls. It is even wheelchair accesible. Highly recommend to anyone. It was just as pretty as Bushkill plus it's free.

My personal goal was to hike this. Not the red trail that had over 1,000 steps but the popular trail with a gazillion steps also. Kelli didn't want me to try it as it was daunting just looking at it but it was something I had to do for me. I took my time and stopped when I needed to (not as much as I thought) Half way up I realized altho my back and my legs were killing me I wasn't huffing and puffing for breath. I can't wait to tell my personal trainer about this!! It's working!! I'm getting stronger, I refuse to become bedridden. Kelli said she was proud of me, she really didn't want me to try it. Heck, I was proud of me!! Thank goodness for Aleve and pain killers.

I'll get the pics up soon!! shaggy

That's fantastic, Shaggy! I didn't schlep up to the top of that trail, and I'm not walking with a cane, I'm just lazy. Good work!

                You go girl!

Travelling automatically means walking, and you could just fold your tent and stay home. But you persevere, check out the obstacles as best you can (walking in cities can be exhausting for anyone!) and set goals for yourself. I really admire you.

I hope you find the good drugs good physio exercises and general lifesyle that keeps you going for years to come.

                Cheers,
                Ann

                  Good for you Shaggy!

Ann is right about the walking. Even though I do go to Contours to exercise several times a week (needed a change from Curves) I still was not walking as much as I should but that all changed a few weeks ago when we adopted a dog that needed a new home. Even though he is 7yrs old he still has a lot of energy so it gets both Lyman and I out for walks and I really do notice the difference in how I feel. DD and SIL are going to dog sit for us any time we're away which of course is quite often! Keep up the good work!
