Oh, I have had a few but here is a funny one. It was not funny at the time though. Last year when I was waiting for a plane near the gate in Phioenix, my bag started vibrating and a faint sound starting coming out of it. I didn't realize it was my carryon at first. When I opened it with people watching it turned out to be my new battery operated toothbrush which somehow had turned itself on.

Unreasonable search
After 9/11 TSA randomly pull a little girl about 7 years old while the family was waiting to be board. They padding her down and search thru her carry on in a partitioned corner. The girl was scared and crying. They would not allow the father to be with her. They were actually nasty to the father who tried to conform the little girl. She was an caucasian and American. Makes you wonder where they came with the profiling.
They did the same for one of my kids twice when he was about 8 or 9 but they did not have any problems with me standing near by observing while they searched.

I ran into a man at the airport that I knew but we were on different flights. I didn't know him very well. He said," Hey,come here." I noticed he had his shoes and socks off. He said he felt as if his feet were on fire.
" Would you mind going over there and getting me some ice cream ? "
Sure, what would you like ? He told me and off I went. Then while on my way back, I had to ask myself. Is he going to eat it or rub it all over his feet?

One time when I was traveling, I had purchased a small 6 pack of wine that I didn't finish. When packing my carry on, my zipper got stuck and I could'nt open the bag all the way. Going thru security the agent asked if I had any liquids in my bag. I told him I didn't think so. He forced the zipper (which fixed it) and found 1 small bottle of wine. I was more shocked than he was. So as usual I took it in stride and said, 'it looks like we both came out ahead. I got my zipper fixed and you got a bottle of wine". Luckily he had a sense of humor. He said he couldn't keep the wine but he wouldn't rebreak my zipper.Kay H

I once arrived on a plane from Los Angeles to Calgary and there was a very confused gentleman at customs who thought he was flying to San Jose! (lots of jokes ensued about "do you know the way to San Jose...") I hope everyting worked out ok for him.
My favourite airport experience is picking up my son or daughter at the airport at Christmas time or after the end of a school term, and seeing all the parents embracing their kids, and watching all the kids looking so happy and not trying to be cool.

Maybe these fall under the "funny" category.
1) We were on a small plane out of Dulles to State College, PA. I got on and found someone in my seat. The flight attendant told me to take any open seat. Since I was flying with dh and dd I kind of wanted to sit near them. While we were trying to figure out what to do, and the young lady in my seat wasn't inclined to offer it up to me, the man sitting behind her noticed her boarding pass had her destination as St. Louis. He pointed that out to her, and she bolted off the plane.
2) Dd and I were taking a very small (8 passenger) plane on Molokai to the Kaulapapa area. First we got weighed in, , then we went to the waiting area outside. We didn't really notice anyone else out there, but heck it's only an 8 passenger plane. After awhile someone comes outside and tells us our plane is ready to leave.......the boarding area was inside the airport, not outside where we'd been waiting. I guess this is one of the advantages of flying on such a small plane.Luanne
