  • BA Worldwide sale has good deals.

With the cavaet that BA is a terrible airline to try to collect miles on, for its own program or partners, they are having a worldwide sale through Feburary 9 which seems to have some good fares.

I was checking the route between Washington, DC and Kiev, Ukraine for some relatives, and found good availibily in both May and September for close to $600 all-in RT. I did not check other routes, but that is a heck of a good deal for Kiev that time of year.

So have the workers made peace with the company?

I know last month they were threatening to walk off right before Christmas so that they would shut down the company.

    I guess management caved.

As I recall, the courts blocked the strike.

The courts blocked the original strike but the union has held a new ballot since then. I haven't heard anything about the result yet though.

I thought it was mean of them to try to ruin everyones Christmas.

Especially in these hard economic times.

They should be glad they even have a job in the first place.

          Don't get me started.

Last word I saw from the BBC was a strike might happen in March if authorized by the Union Vote.

            Cheers

Voting on possible strike action begins today. The union have said that they will not strike over Easter. That is probably because even their own members weren't impressed by the way the union leaders handled things last time round.
BA also say they are training other staff to act as cabin crew if the strike does go ahead.
