Thanks for posting. I'm always looking for ways to keep the kids' miles accounts active since we seldom fly. Got 200 points for each of them.

I hope others will follow Delta's example and stop expiring the miles.

Actually, DL copied CO on that! CO had a policy of not expiring miles long before DL. But AA has so many promos, plus OpinionPlace, there is no excuse for letting AA miles expire.

I agree that AA has been pretty easy. US Air has been the hardest until they started the toolbar promotion allowing you to use their toolbar for searches and get a few points. Very easy now.

Last week I flew American, United, and Delta, so I'm all updated for now.

Thanks. Got 200 points each for DH and myself. He's flown on AA, but I haven't recently. At least this will refresh his expiration clock.

How does one tell if it gets recorded in your account? Does it happen right away?

(Thanks for posting this; I got 1,000 miles!)

Tried to do a contact for mileage correction online. It wouldn't work without my ticket number. Sent an email to customer service. No reply.

AA is not on my priority list with that type of customer service.
