UA is having a sales on award travel using miles to Europe and Africa:

Milage levels required are reduced 25%. Travel may be through March 22, and tickets must be booked by Jan. 16. All travel must be on UA metal, so no partner flights including codeshares qualify.
This means that a ticket to Europe is 45K miles instead of 60K.
Of course saver tickets to Europe at this time of year on AA are always 45K, and that extends much farther into late spring instead of ending in mid March.
