I have used them and they are pretty good. In fact I added them to our links directory last year.

Look in our directory for search engines to use.

Watch for total price with taxes, for example, I was shopping for my Xmas Caribbean trip and they showed a great price but when you advanced and taxes were added, their 'taxes' were more than those on the airlines own site and made their fare more!

That is the exact reason that I don't use this one. Teaser fares. I want everything upfront including taxes.

You do get the finale price after you continue onto booking. If it is not cheaper you don't have to take it.

Do you book the flights on the cheapo site or do you book via the airline itself?

You can book on the site.

When I find a good fare (including taxes, etc.) on cheapo, I'll go to the airline's website and check it out as well. I find that when cheapo has a good fare, the airline has similar, sometimes better, sometimes a tad more.
Bascially, cheapo alerts me to great fares.

I agree--I've used cheapo air to find great rates and then check the airline sites. I've only actually reserved through cheapo one time since in most cases their hidden fee (which seems to be about $25 per way) spikes the final price up a tad too high. Just last week cheapo showed a good fare for rt PIT/SEA that the airlines didn't offer. Due only to procrastination I wasn't ready to actually book until the next day, and by then the airlines were matching the cheapo rate, so I don't know if cheapo just got wind of the new rates first or if they drove the rate...regardless, after going all the way through the process, it was $53 more expensive on cheapo so I booked directly with the airline.

                          Penguin,
Exactly ! In fact, cheapo saved me quite a bit by alerting me to a fare that I thought was going to stay astronomically high.
Just to give you the Readers' Digest version here: AA fare on Friday morning was $614 Nonstop- good. Did not book then, had to do an errand. Two hours later, $859. Hmmm. Went onto cheapo, found a $614 fare on Icelandair with a stop in Keflavik Iceland from Boston to London. Thought about that one. Scanned other prices on cheapo. British Air, $824. Flipped back to Iceland Air 45 minutes later, fare was now $2403 .Decided on BA and fly nonstop (I hate takeoffs & landings) and it was $924.So, I decided to check out cheapo one more time. Low & behold, cheapo had (w/o taxes/fees) an AA for $332. I went onto AA's site and nailed it for $614 again and that is under the 7 day advance price.
