Sigh......When my kids first started school it was year round. Hawaii in October was fabulous. Now we are traditional (modified) We do get out end of May and that little window before June 15 is great...but nothing like shoulder season. We voted on a new schedule this year-they were trying to get us a week off in October. I wish I could have stuffed the ballot. All we got was an extra long weekend. Sigh. I love Hawaii.

Thank you very much, John. My SO booked a flight with Hawaiian so we don't have to wait untill next March. He took the Sr. advantage too. You have to check the garbage fees so Hawaiian was very attractive too. It may be even cheaper later.
