Delta and FF miles

I need to book the first segment of our 1/13/07 St. Maarten trip in the next couple of days. However I haven't deposited all the miles needed in my Sky Miles account from my Starwood AMEX account. How long will Delta "hold" this for me (or will they)? It usually takes about a week for the miles to show up and then I would be ready to book the return flight. Thanks.

The last time I transfered miles from my Amex not Starwoods Amex but my gold rewards plus Amex to Delta. It was done in less than 1 hour. It used to take a week but no more. BTW it also took 1 hour for them to transfer into US Air.
