If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

    southwest refund policies

What are Southwest's refund policies. I would like to book a college trip for my son, however I have a vindictive ex. He would probably select summer visitation to interfere with the college visit.

If you buy a fully refundable ticket (which will be more expensive) you can get a full refund. If you buy a non-refundable ticket and need to cancel or change it, you will get credit which can be used for up to a year from the time of the ticket. The credit can be used for anyone, not just the original passenger.

And thanks for this post. It prompted me to go in and do some checking on flights I already have booked. Just got an additional $61.80 in credits that can be used in the future.

What procedure do you use to get a credit for tickets that already have been purchased, but now are lower price?

Call them. They will in all likelihood give you a credit for the difference,

Go into your account, click on "change intinerary" for the flight. You can re-select the same flight and see if you will be charged more, or receive a credit. If it's a credit, just proceed with the re-booking. It will show a credit. You do need to remember your confirmation number as that is what you'll need when you want to use the credits (I think, I'm sure there is information on the website to confirm that).
