  • Priceline 4 star deals

The last 2 weeks I have naming my own price on priceline for Dallas 4 star airport area and getting amazingly good deals.
First week my orginal 50$ offer got me the Westlin.
Second week 50$ was rejected but the suggested bump of my offer to 64$ got me the Hyatt.

In the past we have found the really nice hotels start at 3-star on Priceline, but at that level you no longer get stuff you get for free at lower levels.

Stuff like continental breakfast, free parking, etc.

    Is that still the case?

Westin is off airport property so there is no parking fee, they had a nice chocolate tasting in the bar every night that week.
Also had an small issue with the room and they doubled my starpoints for the inconvienence.

Hyatt is on airport property and they validate parking.
I had a king smoking and wasnt told those rooms only had showers, when I ask to be moved they didnt have a smaller smoking offered to comp my room except as it was priceline they couldnt, so they comped me the breakfast buffet, a saving of 18 bucks!
But like you I've noticed the higher the rating the fewer freebies but at 200 or more savings and a much more responsive customer service if there is a problem I'll survive.

I thought that you didn't get Starpoints if it was a Priceline or Hotwire reservation?

Not on the room, but on any room charges ect you still do. They doubled my earned points and threw in 500 for the inconvience.

I was trying to bid on priceline for Washington DC or Annapolis, but could not get a good bid in for the last of May. Ended up booking a room at Quantico Marine base. I knew I could get a double room with free internet and breakfast for about $65 total. That was my stopping bid for priceline.

We stayed in a four-star...Hyatt, I think? in DC a couple of years ago, near Union Station, in the summer. But it was about $75 or $85 a night, which was a good price. It was a really nice hotel.
