This is perhaps a little off topic for this forum, but thought I'd post it in case anyone is interested. Victorinox is having a Friends and Family sale, with their discontinued WT 2.0 line at extremely good discounts. I had managed to find a few of the pieces at TJMaxx a few months ago at a good price, but it is even a little better here and they have most of the line. There are some other collections on the site as well, but the Werks Traveler is what interested me.
In case you're not familiar with these but are interested in replacing your luggage, this is a really nice line. They are lighter weight, well constructed with a lifetime warranty even against airline damage. The only real difference between this and the newer 3.0 line which just came out is the new line has longer zippers on the outer compartments. Besides the weight and construction, what I particularly like about these is the handle design; instead of a pull handle like all the other luggage these days, which forces you to pull the case behind you, this has a very ergonomic twist handle, which allows you to pull the luggage at your side if you want with your wrist and arm in a very natural position.
BTW- I realize I sound like an ad here- but it's not; I have no connection with them. I just saw this posted on Fatwallet a few days ago and took advantage of it, and thought I'd pass the info. along in case anyone here wanted new luggage, esp. with them enforcing the weight restrictions. If you tend to overpack like me, getting a piece that's several pounds lighter makes a difference (at least I hope so ).
