I didn't know Wyndham took over the Westin Rio Mar -- this location is really great, very close to the El Yunque rainforest, but not far from San Juan. Also good proximity to the marina for snorkeling and other boating excursions.

We stayed at the Wyndham Rio Mar on four trips this year (my DH had lots of business trips to Puerto Rico). We were very happy with the resort but you must be careful about your room location. Don't get a room overlooking the roof of the casino or parking garage. Ask to see the room first before you take it.

That said, we loved the rain forest/lagoon view, the pool view and the oceanfront views that we had. Some others in our group had bad views and weren't so happy with the resort because of that.
