  • Sloane Gardens - London - For Sale $4k

    On Redweek:

I have no vested interest in this, but did see this resale. Note that the RTU is up in 2018. This is a good chance for someone who wants London, but cannot trade into it to purchase this or go in with a friend/relative.

    Week 27, 1 bedroom

Flat #5, Rosetti's Room, on the second floor of this lovely Victorian structure, is a quiet and charming retreat from busy London. Located at Sloane Square in Chelsea, this flat is one block from the Sloane Gardens Tube Station and five bus lines. The flat is serviced by an elevator with an on-site concierge to assist with theater tickets and other services. Walking distance to groceries, restaurants and shops on Kings Row.

Sloane Gardens Club is a right-to-use timeshare that will end in 2018 providing the buyer with years of prime time London at its very heart. The Club receives excellent service and upkeep. It is a rare find in a rare city.

That IS rare! Wow. I'm fairly sure this is the room my DDs stayed in when we visited London last year. Here are the pictures from the Sloane Gardens website. If it's the one they were in, the ceiling in the living room is soaringly high, with a chandelier. Big, beautiful rooms.

Honestly, at $4,000, this is a steal, even expiring in 2018.

Yes it is a steal. If I wasn't positive DH would either kill me or divorce me I'd be a buyer. Actually if I could find someone to do an EOY with me I still might consider it. $4000 is the asking price, nothing to say it can't be bought for less.

What's the maintenance like? (P.S. Don't get your hopes up, Joy. A dual purchase would involve dual divorces, too. )

The annual fee according to the Owner, its around 650 Pounds. There's a add on the TUG classifieds.

          Cheers

That's a lot. But it's a beautiful unit, in the absolute best location ever. And only till 2018....

So, that's nine years. Perfect if there is a third party..... three visits each and one year for a reunion.

Nice place, I was there on an exchange last March when I had to find alternate accommodations because Diamond Resorts sold Carlton Court out from under a longstanding reservation I had with them, offering me a hotel room in its place.

650GBP is ~$1025 + ~$4700/10 = annualized cost of ~$1500 per week. $215/night is a great London rate but it's still not cheap.
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

But London is soooo expensive. And a $215/night hotel room in London, week 27, would be an absolute dump.
