  • Southwest Airline Credit Card

Does anyone have a Southwest Airline Credit Card? If so, do you like it and do you think it offers a good value for getting free airline tickets?

I have one. I got it when they were having the offer of getting a free r/t ticket with your first purchase. I also got it because both dds started college at schools in areas served by SW, and because I can charge their tuition. I figured I might as well get a few r/t tickets out of this. So far I've earned about 4 r/t tickets. I've had the card since around April of this year.

I have one and use it often. I am one of those that pay the balance in full each month. That said, it is a good value to me and offers the opportunity to receive at least 2 free tickets per year. My only issue now with SWA is that they have limited the "award" seats on flights.

I was going to come back and add this. It used to be that SW had no black out dates. Now around holidays, and at some other times, you can't use the award seats.

Nope! I only do cash back rewards. I don't like to deal with restrictions as I have so many with my timeshare already (Westgate Towne Center)!!!!!
The problem with real life is that there is no background music.

Have used the SW Visa for several years now. Use it often. Feel it is a very good value. If using only points from purchases, $19,200 earns a free RT ticket, as compared to $25,000+ on other airline rewards cards.
Also, SW is so much easier to work with.

I've had one for several years and earn a couple of free awards each year. I, too , charge college tuition and most other things. Between that and the GM card, I don't pay cash for anything. I also pay off the balance each month.

I have been thinking about getting one but I am not sure if it would be worth it for me. I don't charge anything big like tuition. How much do you have to charge to get a flight credit?

SW is our very favourite airline, and we drive from Toronto to Buffalo to fly with them. Because we are Canadian, we are precluded from having a SW cc. It's too bad for us, as I think it would be a great way to earn free flights.

Southwest is still offering the free roundtrip flight after first use. Use this link www.southwest.com/onboard

We charge anything over $5, and as many here state, pay in full each month. That's the only way to make it cost effective!
We charge utility bills, cell phone, insurances, everything we possibly can.
