    SHORE CREST VACATION VILLAS™ I & II
    4709 South Ocean Boulevard
    North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582
    843.361.3600

This Bluegreen Resort offers two timeshare buildings:
Shore Crest I on the ocean and Shore Crest II on the
marsh and just a short stroll to the beach and ocean.

Drove pass Shore Crest II and it looks like they are re-doing
the entire exterior of the building inc. new patio railings, etc.

Anyone know whats happening at Shore Crest II
Any "special assessments" for Bluegreen Owners

No special assessments that I have heard of, but I did find this notice.
From the Bluegreen owner's update September version:

Bluegreen’s Shore Crest Vacation Villas II will undergo an extensive renovation project starting in October 2009 through May 2010. The mission is to repair and reconstruct the exterior walls of the building and simultaneously upgrade the “curb appeal” of the resort through updated paint and ornamentation.

Regrettably, the resort will be unavailable for occupancy during this period, however, Bluegreen’s other Myrtle Beach resorts, including Shore Crest Vacation Villas I, will be open to welcome Bluegreen owners looking for a beach getaway this winter and spring. We appreciate your understanding and know that the long-term safety, durability and attractiveness of the resort is as important to you as it is to us. In the long run, this fortification project will translate into memorable vacations for you and your family for many years to come.

I've heard they want to do the same thing to Shore Crest I, but are having a hard time getting permission from people who own particular weeks and don't want to give them up for a year. We're hoping to get there in September 2011, and I figure they'll get all that worked out about the time we want to go.

        Shore Crest BG Myrtle Beach

Has anyone stayed in the Marchview units? Are they nice? How is the view? I just love watching the Ocean, but there are no units available. Pictures anyone?

          Isn't it Marsh view?

That building is right across the street from the Shorecrest 1 and the ocean, so it overlooks the Shorecrest 1 building or the marsh on the other side. As far as a view, I have never seen the view. But from what I have seen of the building, no, it isn't great. However, I believe the rooms would be the same.

The rooms are the same, the view is of a marsh/creek, and then some of barefoot landing, depending on how high up you are. If you lean out, and look to your right, you ~can~ see water

It appears that the floor plans on the BG site are all for Shorecrest II. They certainly are different than the 2 bedrooms at Shorecrest I. I have never been in the units at II but I recall hearing that they are larger than those in I.

While II is across the street from the ocean, the street is not busy at all.

                marsh view rooms

If you get spoiled by having ocean front rooms (me), you may be disappointed with the marsh view rooms. You sit on your balconey and see houses and a swamp...i've stayed here when I wanted to be at the beach and there wasn't room at shorecrest I. It isn't the same experience, but the rooms are nice (and now they are all new)

Mrs, since you have been in both buildings, are the rooms different? In the back of my mind, I thought rooms were the same, just the furnishings were different due to age.

I think even if they are newer, bigger, better in building 2, I would still take a corner room in 1 vs anything in 2. I like my ocean front too.
