  • Buying resale Annual vs biannual

I was looking at points for sale at Pinnacle and saw 7000 annual points for $2450 and 7000 biannual points for $2000 at the same resort. Since the price difference is relatively small and the number of points over a 2 yr period is double doesn't it make since to go with the annual points?

Or, does it depend on what you currently own? (Currently own 8000 biannual points.

    Thanks

It doesn't matter what you currently own, but 7000 bi-annual equals 3500 annual points. Therefore the 7000 point annual is the least expensive. Bear in mind also that you can make any kind of offer that you like for what is listed on Pinnacle. I am definately not an expert, but I have put together almost 50K points. Boca Bum, on this forum is a rep for Pinnacle. Give him a shout, as he has been helpful to me.

Yes, it's makes more sense to go for the annual points. You are better off just having a mix of annual and biennial points. Let me know if you want either of those packages or a different one.

Since you have found that Bluegreen works for you, you probably will want to add more points in the future. Since the transfer fee is now over $400, it really makes sense to go after the annual points. You might even be able to find more points for about the same price. Of course, you have to watch your budget for the maintenance fees and none of us can give you any advice on that.

Generally EOY weeks sell for less than every year weeks, but I'm not sure if the same holds for points. Boca - what the answer ?

In general, EOY points sell for less than EY points.

The reason why EOY are higher priced at Pinnacle vs. EY points is due to minimum commissions charged by the broker.
