Has anyone heard anything at all about the property Bluegreen was developing in Linville, NC ?? It was posted here on a thread by Boca about two years ago and I have not heard anything since. It was called "The Linville River Retreat". Is it just for rentals.......or maybe a residential community ???? It looks like it would be a great location for a "Shenandoah Crossing" type time resort.......Does anyone have the latest on this property????? Thanks.............

It does not show up as a Points Resort. BG might have expansion plans for the 75 acres but the economy might have put the plans on hold.

Blush. After the last note, I checked the URL to make sure it would work. It did and I read the page in more detail. I actually did not see any rental information. However, the web page says it is a "Club Resort" and has the following note:Originally posted by crwisconsin View Post

So it might be that the plans fell through and the web page wasn't deleted or that the web page is ready for when inventory is available to the Club (when????).

Nice detective work Charles. I was not aware that was even on the Bluegreen website. So it looks they have the property ........but it seems to be in limbo at the present moment. It does say CLUB RESORT but I see there are no POINTS VALUES posted for it yet. Thanks for the info Charles.......If you have any other info please post some more .......Comment

Charles , how did you pull up that resort on the website??????? The only way for me to pull up that resort is if I click on your link. Otherwise if I try to find it on the Bluegreen Website it's no where to be found??? I tried to find it in the "select another resort" pull down screen but there was nothing.........then i tried with the "resort locator" and still nothing .......what is your magic Charles ?Comment

I'm curious too. I thought maybe he went in without logging in and just did Explore Resorts, but it still wasn't listed. I noticed he was on the corporate web site URL though so that must make a difference.Comment

Do you have any other "hidden" or "secret" Bluegreen properties that you can divulge to us Charles ????? Any other info on future properties or more land that Bluegreen owns and will develop in the future ???? I had heard they were looking to buy the adjacent lot next to Harbour Lights at one point. What ever happened to the Cape Cod resorts??? I have heard zero info on them since they made the announcement early last year that they would take over management of that resort..........Comment

Nope. I was just lucky to stumble on The Linville River Retreat. It often takes quite a long time to finalize all the details of these purchases and developments. When we first bought, the sales people were talking about Aruba and it was years before they started taking reservations.
