In the thread on the new RCI Points - Bluegreen Points program you said:

Is this actual Vacation Club inventory that members simply do not use (examples: be someone with 10,000 points who only uses 6000 points for a weekend; someone who hasn't paid maintenance fees, someone who hasn't figured out how to use their points; someone who waited until the last minute and couldn't find something they could use; etc.) or does it also include unsold units that actually belong to Bluegreen?

Bluegreen didn't say specifically, but I think it included developer inventory.

Sounds like how RCI started their rentals, way back when, getting rid of excess inventory.

Sounds like how RCI started their rentals, way back when, getting rid of excess inventory.

The big difference is that Bluegreen actually owns the inventory. So, if they rent it out, then they are recouping their costs.

Club owned inventory is actually made available to Bluegreen owners as bonus time. Owners can use points or pay cash for bonus time for any Club inventory still available less than 45-days from check in.

Also, the exchange fee is $0.

If RCI had the above policies, I don't think people would have a problem with RCI rental policies. Well, at least reasonable people.
