Can someone please post the BG points to RCI Points conversion table. I don't have access to Travelers plus but would like to know if it makes sense based on the conversion for the areas I go to.
I know I was able to see this chart on bluegreenonline.com last week but it isn't there now.
It is still there. There is a link to it in Paragraph 2 of the RCI Nightly Stays page (I believe). Very small print.
Don't forget that in addition to paying BG points and a transaction fee, you might also have a housekeeping fee for partial weeks when you check in. But RCI Nightly Stays does indeed give you access to inventory that you can't get through RCI Weeks and/or Select Connections.
I just got a studio at animal kingdom for Dec 12-19 using my BG RCI points account. I have a separate RCI points account, but I cannot use it to trade to any Disney resorts because Disney has a rule that if you are deeded within 30 miles of Orlando you cannot trade in to Disney.
I joined Interval International a couple of years ago, and it seemed that Disney resorts never came up for trade. I imagine it was a huge coup for RCI to get Disney. Having spoken to RCI, it seems much easier to get in to Disney resorts using points than weeks, adding more value to our BG RCI pts account
You can used saved points to trade in to RCI on the weeks side. Ring BG, get them to make a reservation in the BG system for exchange in to RCI weeks, and then deposit it with RCI weeks. Remember, the unit can only be in red season or below. The important thing with RCI is that you deposit at least 90 days out to get max value for your week.
I am unsure if you can use saved points to make a trade through our BG RCI points account. In this account, if I understand correctly, there is nothing to deposit. You just search for a trade, and then RCI will pull the points from your BG account to cover the cost of the trade (in addition to the exchange fee). I don't think you can deposit lets say 10k BG points in to your BG RCI pts account for a later exchange....I THINK
EDIT....update September 2014.... BG uses a fixed crossover grid only.
So if I read this correctly, it would be better to reserve/trade two Big Cedar white studios at 2000 pts a piece, getting 10000 RCI points (assuming BC is defined at midwest) than one Big Cedar 1BR white at 4000 pts, getting 7000 RCI points.

The point chart shows how many Bluegreen points it costs to get a reservation through the RCI "points" inventory. When you do this, you don't actually reserve a Bluegreen property first and then deposit it (like you do with the RCI "weeks" inventory).
With the RCI "points" inventory, you search till you find something you want, you call them up and they suck the points out of your Bluegreen account (along with the transaction fee). The RCI point values you see when you search the "points" inventory are irrelevant, other than giving you an idea of how good of a deal you are getting for your Bluegreen points.
For example, I've been looking for a DVC 1 bedroom rental, and depending on the resort and time of year the RCI points range from 41,000 to 71,000, but as far as Bluegreen is concerned it is always 11,000 Bluegreen points, since it is a 1 bedroom in Florida and DVC is always RCI Red season.
Obviously not all 1 bedrooms in Florida are equivalent, so some resorts would be good deals and some not.
The following resorts are the ones that can be deposited to Interval International.
Not all Blugreen resorts can be deposited into II.
There are also unit size restrictions so call II to confirm you will be able to deposit BEFORE making your BG reservation.
Then double check with the BG rep that the unit will be able to be deposited when you are doing the reservation for the deposit.
