  • Another Maintenance Fee question

If a deeded week is converted to points, do the deeded weeks maintenence fees continue as they were, or does the maintenance fees then get calculated under the trust fund that was in effect at the time of convertion. As an example: A deeded week is converted to points in June 2006. Would the maintenance fees then be calculated as Trust Fund E points.

Trying to understand about Trust Fund A and C maintenance fees.

My understanding is that they'd be calculated according to the trust fund and number of points.

By 'deeded week' I'll assume you meant a fixed or floating timeshare week.

When converted to the points system, that deed is surrendered to BG and usually you get a different deed that is equivalent to the number of points that you are getting. Maintenance fees are calculated according to that deed, which would be in one of the trusts. The week traded in is no longer a factor.

        Another Maintenance Fee question

        Thank you Hobbitess and motomem.
There is currently on eBay an ad for 24,000 annual points that lists the maintenance fee as $1084.50. In talking with the person selling the points for the owners I was told that the points were from a deeded two weeks converted to points in Nov of 2003. From things I have read on the forums this date would put the points in Trust Fund E. Trust Fund E would calculate as $1282.00. I was told that the purchase date was from the ownership document and that the maintenance fee was from the ESTOPPEL that was received from the resort. I was also told that the 2010 maintenance fees have been paid. This is why I was wondering about the maintenance fees. I currently am a Platium BG member and am interested in adding points because I bought into BG because my wife and I take our family on an annual get together. It takes 5 two bedroom units and we go to The Wilderness Club at Big Cedar. Would sure like to get more points but want to get them in Trust Fund E.

        Again thanks for your replies.

I would say there's no guarantee that it's trust fund e. You need to contact bocabum on this board and allow him to assist you in buying these points.

The owner should be able to find out from BG what trust fund the deed is in.

If these are not in trust fund e, you may have to buy a few more points from Pinnacle and try to get everything 'combined' when that closes. Bocabum could advise you on this.

          Good luck.
