  • Who has recsinded?

Not sure if that spelling is right but you know what I mean. Who has bought from BG then canceled their contract?

    Just curious.

This is an easy thing to do so long as you're still within the period when you may rescind the contract. All you have to do is write a short note the cancel the contract and send it certified return reciept mail. They may call and try to talk you out of it but, you don't have to give them a reason.

I've rescinded two Marriott contracts. I have never signed a contract with Bluegreen but the process should be the same.

I just realized that you had a post on 3/8 about your retail purchase. You may already be outside the rescind period. If so, you're stuck with the contract.

I rescinded. It was pretty hassle free. Now in the process of purchasing resale points. You only have a certain number of days to rescind though. The number of days you have will be in your contract.

i signed last wednesday, before the holiday weekend, my dad is trying to talk me out of it and buy resale only, he says with the money we spent we can have a ton of points. What would be the date to have it post marked?

Check your contract; it will specify exactly how many days you have to cancel. If you still can, do exactly what they tell you to do: if they say "registered mail," send it registered; if they say send back all materials, send back all materials. This is a time when it is important to follow the letter of the specifications in the contract.

I had rescinded awhile ago and it was quite easy....
Does the contract specify calendar days or business days? If not then I would work on the premise of 5 calendar days. Someone who is more familiar with BG contracts may be able to tell you differently. But, personally, I would work on the lesser time frame as opposed to going on the assumption of the longer time frame, just to be sure.

Beware the resale rules changes effective 6/01/10.

If you paid around $1.25 per point then you will not necessarily save on the resale market if you want the developer benefits.

What was you per point cost?
